Overview
Build a Technical Community at Your College
An IEEE CAS Student Branch Chapter gives students a platform to collaborate, learn, and grow together in the field of circuits and systems. Starting a chapter at your institution connects you to a global network and brings world-class technical activities right to your campus.
Step 1 — Requirements
Before You BeginMinimum 6 CAS Student Members
You need at least 6 IEEE CAS student members to form a chapter. It is strongly recommended to have a minimum of 15 members — ideally 5 from each of three consecutive batches for long-term chapter sustainability.
Existing IEEE Student Branch
To open a Student Branch Society Chapter, an IEEE Student Branch must already exist at your college or university. Confirm this with your institution's IEEE Student Branch Counselor before proceeding.
Faculty Advisor (IEEE CAS Member)
A Faculty Advisor who is an active IEEE CAS member is required. This person will serve as the Student Branch Chapter Advisor and must provide their endorsement during the petition process.
