1. Requirements

Minimum 6 IEEE CAS student members and a Faculty advisor are needed to form a chapter. Although its recommended to have minimum 15 student members, with five member each from three consecutive batches.
2. Petition Filing

File a petition using the following link. Please select the option as Student Branch Chapter. (Please note applications are accepted only if Student members file the petition)

3. Application Contd.

Fill all the required fields. Choose Society as Circuits and Systems.
4. Endorsements
a. Give the details of existing IEEE Student Branch Counselor of your college. Please note to open a student branch society chapter, a IEEE Student Branch must exists in the college/University.

b. Please give the name of the Faculty advisor ( Must be a IEEE CAS member) as Student Branch Chapter advisor.
5. Endorsement and approvals

a. Get the endorsement from IEEE Student Branch Counselor and the IEEE CAS Faculty advisor ( Email sent for endorsement after successful submission of the petition)

b. Complete the approvals from the 6 student members

c. Please note that the executive approval will be only initiated, after 5.a and 5.b are complete
6. Executive Approval

After all the Executive approvals are obtained, a confirmation/Congratulation email is sent to the Student chapter chair.
7. Next Steps

Prepare the list of events to be conducted. Proceed towards establishing the organisation structure and execute the plans. Also update the Vtools office bearers.
