IEEE CAS Seasonal School on Quantum Circuits

Welcome to the Quantum Computing Seasonal School

The Quantum Computing Seasonal School is a premier event designed to bring together thought leaders, professionals, researchers, and students from across the globe to explore the latest advancements in [specific subject or field]. This immersive program, held from [dates], offers a unique blend of lectures, hands-on workshops, and interactive sessions, creating a dynamic environment for learning, networking, and collaboration.

Whether you are a student eager to deepen your knowledge, a professional looking to sharpen your skills, or an industry expert seeking to engage with cutting-edge research, the Quantum Computing Seasonal School provides the perfect platform. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with renowned speakers, engage in cross-disciplinary discussions, and gain insights into the future of Quantum Computing.

   Description of the Seasonal School:

Quantum circuits, which operate on qubits rather than traditional binary bits, exploit the principles of superposition and entanglement, allowing them to perform complex computations that classical computers cannot. These circuits hold immense potential for breakthroughs in fields such as optimization, cryptography, and materials science. For example, quantum algorithms like the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA) have shown promise in solving real-world problems with greater speed and efficiency than classical methods.

The two-day seasonal school on Quantum Circuits will help close the skill gap by offering in-depth training. Participants will gain a solid understanding of quantum theory, hands-on experience with circuit design, and exposure to cutting-edge applications. By integrating theory with practical skills, the school will empower participants to innovate in the quantum computing industry and prepare them for the evolving challenges in this exciting field. This program will foster a new generation of experts, driving progress and enhancing the global quantum computing workforce.

DAY 1: Inaugurations/Keynote Talk/Tutorial

SPEAKERS

 Apoorva D. Patel

Apoorva D. Patel’s work at the Centre for High Energy Physics at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore reflects a deep engagement with both theoretical physics and computational methods. His contributions to quantum algorithms and the intersection of information theory with genetics illustrate a versatile approach to complex problems. Apoorva D. Patel’s contributions bridge the realms of theoretical physics and practical computation, potentially paving the way for advancements in both quantum computing and our understanding of theoretical Quantum Mechanics. His work epitomizes the interdisciplinary nature of modern scientific research.

Sudipto Chakraborty

Worked towards maximizing the dynamic range per milliwatts consumption of RF/analog circuits in various projects ranging 134kHz-80GHz over the past years and design experience in CMOS 180/130/90/65/45nm nodes plus SiGe. With 18 years of cumulative experience in most areas of RF/analog/Mixed signal circuits and systems,Dr. Sudipto has successfully executed many projects that were used in complex SoCs, and technically led/managed team of ~10-15 people in 4 time zones in the past. Proven track record of innovations are reflected in ~40 granted patents and ~70 publications over the years.
